Re: Egr valve leaking, blanking plate?
2003 is the change point . A 2003 car registered up to 6 months in could of been built late 2002 . Only way to tell if an eml is going to come up is bottom right of build sticker. OGE no eml OGZ yes eml will light up . I've a February 2003 but the interior plastics have late 2002 dates and OGE , so...

Re: Egr valve leaking, blanking plate?
I have had a kit sitting waiting to be fitted to my AWX for over a year, I asked this question then and sure the answer was 04 onwards would throw up an emmisions light so the egr would need mapping out. Up to 03 no need to map out and no lights or fault codes to be reset. Im sur there will be a mor...

Re: Any heating engineers/ gas safe on here
Has he vented the coil in the cylinder?
Also is the cylinder stat asking for the valve to open?
If no signal to call for the valve to turn it will remain shut, thus no hot water.
If he has put a new complete 3 way valve in including motorised head, he may have the wiring wrong?

Re: EGR Disabled Question
As said the tension on this spring seated diaphram is quite strong but would 100% say gas tight given the deposits on the seat. Just a quick one for Karl, I was told the anti shudder prevents "run away" by starving the engine of O2 ? Ive cleaned my egr twice now and am contemplating deleti...

Re: CCM issues
Hi welcome to ukp
Have you checked the multiplug nest in the passenger kick panel area?
Part them and look for the green corrosion, the pins can rot away even though visually the plugs loog fine.
The ccm needs to be the same part number and from a car with identical spec.
Hope this helps

Re: glow plug fault?
I had the same issue
After I did a continuity test on the glow plugs I found 2 dead ones (1 behind fuel filter bracket)
Replaced all problem solved bursts into life when cold with no smoke![Big Grin :D](./images/smilies/4.gif)
As far as im aware glow-plugs also come on occasionally to help emissions etc.

Re: Radiator
I put a Valeo one in mine , never had any issues with it . Ditto no issues Make sure you scrape out the grit and remove the sponge from the sides where the rad sits, these hold water against the aluminium part of the rad, eventually rotting it through. You may want a couple of u clips for the rad p...

I agree it's best used on a 6 monthly serviced car , on a poorly serviced one it could be a disaster . Re: 03 Passed MOT today....!
Interesting comments about the flush, my car AWX has had this done every time it has an oil change every 6000 miles It stinks while the car is running literally a detergent to disolve the deposits that build up in the crank case that can drop into the galleries. http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x2...

Have a look at the multi plugs behind the passenger kick panel.
These may look ok but they can get soaked from the pollen filter leaking part them and check for corrosion
