Ah yes ok. Why unfortunately? Can be confusing as there's swirl flaps, flap valve in the rocker cover (some engines?) anti shudder valve and EGR valve all closely related/located...

Test the ccv by loosening the oil fill cap and seeing if there is rushing out of blowby gases. Also after turning engine off, remove oil cap while check if pressure is built up in there (cap "pops off") on my later engine there is a flap which closes the crankcase vent off from the intake ...

Good call if you can just solve it by wd40 on the electrical connector? If you cycle the ignition with the rear seat off maybe you'll hear better if its priming for 2 secs when key inserted...

Pump you mean? No it eventually stops the engine I think. They usually go noisy like a humming from the back seat.

I have them pirellis on the front as well. I like them, will likely replace the rears with those too, put the new ones on the front and move the fronts to the back.

My method- look ahead and slow down when you see the patrol or camera... If you can't monitor the road well enough, then you're driving too fast and without due care. You would be lucky to get points compared to ploughing into someone/something... It's to force us to drive better...

Re: Bmr oil smoke
No a flap inside restricts flow from crankcase into intake at high boost ie when there could be large depression. Changed the top cover and it's better, drives loads better and has smoked/stumbled on idle only a few times now. Will change the vacuum actuator when the new part comes, hopefully that w...

Re: Bmr oil smoke
I think there's a flap in there to close off the crankcase from the inlet at engine shutdown. It's staying closed or blocked closed. Have a replacement cover ready. Will test for vacuum from the actuator and for leak in the diaphragm later and replace the cover I think. Depending what I find.

Maybe it's due a battery and plugs? And turbo could be sooty- perhaps run some turbo cleaner thru it and clean it up. N75 - try checking that the egr and turbo and any other vacuum diaphragms are not leaking as they all depend on good vacuum supply. What miles she got?

I always quite liked the fade out torque curve of the AVF pd130 engine. It looked like a massive spike at 1950rpm sloping downwards with a straight line towards 5krpm or whatever. That makes a good drive feel I think. Torque where you want it and not a gear change or several thousand revs away... Co...

Above is confirmed... The separator is built into the cover and is choked. Looks like I'll need to take it off to clean it thru unless anyone knows another trick?
