My 1.8t APU is extremely high too.
192000 miles, no slipping at all either.
Just going to leave it in until it destroys itself

Been there, done that. (Not passat) Finished work at 2pm on industrial estate I used to work on years ago. round a bend I had gone round hundreds of times before. 30mph and the car just swapped ends completely, straight into the kerb opposite.... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0703/ashyRST/ooops0...

Really think I'm going to chuck a few quid at my passat 1.8t next year. its still feeling good at 185000 miles but really does need a bit more to drag its large bum around

B5 Clutch Pedal High biting point 1.8t APU
Hi. my Passat is a 1.8t 189000 miles Since I've had the car (18 months) the clutch pedal is extremely high, like literally right at the top of the pedal push. I have got used to this and it hasn't once slipped and still engages gear fine. We have bought a golf mk4 tdi recently and the clutch for tha...

Re: just seen this..
Id say its tidy but the light interiors really let these cars down.
Another thing is the price, I'd wouldn't pay more than £1300 for it.
Deffo shop around as theres loads out there

Re: Fitted HID's in my B5 today
Just wait till i post about my neons, blacked out windows (front at 40%) or my un kite marked numberplates.  I also did 71 on the motorway today. :-o On a brighter note, the kit was £16 so you are being pedantic. I will probably end up taking them out & maybe replacing them with a ...

Hahaha oh my god, what a response.
Bet some of you guys are a riot at parties
Yes I have fitted them in reflector lights & no I'm not really bothered. If I get pulled, I get pulled.
Ah well, you live & learn I guess...

Fitted HID's in my B5 today
WOW what a difference they make.
Had to wait until now for it to go dark to properly test them.
Best £16 ive ever spent on my car.
Wish I would have taken a before picture to compare but the difference is night & day. haha

Re: eBay silicone turbo intake pipes?
Think I need one of these myself as the small pipe near the bottom has snapped off. I have siliconed it on for now but not holding out much hope of it lasting.
Are they all the same for the 1.8t engines?
Mine is an APU.
Cheers
