clutch burn after remap...
Last week I put a blacksmoke remap on my b5.5 and now the turbo whistles more than it did and the clutch gets really hot and smells of burning when I drive it, I'm not that concerned but I wondered if anyone else had experienced this? The car has done 190,000 and I don't know if and when the clutch ...

nope its going to need changing soon, probably ever sooner now haha, the cars done 191000 now and as far as I know its STILL the standard clutch (even though it can't be can it?)

yes mate received it today was a right pain removing the old cat the ets one looks ok, i dont expect it to last long but it was cheap enough, the only slight issue was the holes for the nuts were ever so slightly off but a hammer sorted it!

Thanks chaps, I decided against and fitted a decat today to replace my 16 month old cat which was the cause of the noise !!

I've come across blacksmokes site and was amazed to see a DIY map costs only £45, has anyone actually done this themselves, I would use an MPPS cable from ebay to be honest if I did buy a map

Thanks chaps, I've got that one on my watch list gazwould I just wanted to actually go and get one as I work in Walsall and John ashley is based there too, I need to get rip of this bloody annoying rattle!!

Im sure I saw a thread on here about someone who had bought a de-cat pipe from john ashley exhausts walsall a while ago...is it you? if so how much did you pay, was it custom built, did you have to wait for it to be made? I'm going to ring them tomorrow as I want one

if you call mcguard they will send you another locking nut key as an emergency!!!! just give them the code if you have it job done!!
