Can I ask how you did the 5 stud conversion? Especially the front. Is it 5x100 or 5x112?

Cheers

Or give Bigg Red a call. http://biggred.co.uk/

I replaced both of mine a couple of weeks ago and they had some refurbished genuine ones, for £60 the pair. Really friendly helpful chaps.

Re: towing hook passat 32b

Hello, I am searching for a towing hook/bar for my passat 32b from 1982. It is a hatchback model. Could anybody help me with this? Would a towbar from a post facelift model fit a pre facelift model? Tim Should do, many years ago, I fitted a pretty facelift one to my late B2 wagon. Facelift was very...

Hi, pretty sure they are the same as early Audi 80, get on www.ETKA.cc or VAGcat and check out the part numbers for both. :)

Get some big mole grips on the pistons and they should come apart OK.

Another vote here for the j&r stretch boots. Comes with cone and lube. Really straightforward to fit, and cones seem good quality.

Re: Inherited a B1

Is it far enough out that you can move the plug leads around by one?! Otherwise as fonz said keep using the penetrating oil, (every day for a couple of weeks if necessary) and use a wooden mallet. Good luck. (Or just pull the engine out and fit a 1.8t ;)

Re: B1 & B2 trailer camper?

Yeah, cool as. I got close to doing one a bit like the bottom one years ago, was going to stop at the bottom of the windscreen, but nose weight concerns and lack of anywhere to keep it, stopped the project before it started. :)

J&r definitely are able to supply both sizes. They were really helpful on the phone. No issues with quality from me. Will be using them every time. Go for it :)

Its an easy enough job as little_Geoff said. I've used j&r CV joints a few times on various things and been really impressed. Their customer service was great too. Item no.
140714461425 on eBay is what I bought. For £16 can't really go wrong.
