Yep , you want that sorted before a remap . Hmmmm don't really know what it is ... It's intermittant ... Sometimes not on for days other times on every day .... Never makes any difference to performance or fuel economy. Possibly EGR, get it mapped out and the light should stay off. So are you sayin...

Re: blacksmoke remap...

Anyone in the midlands fancy having a bash at mine ? Obviously il pay ..... Me and computers do not mix so I wouldn't even dare attempt it myself! I live near Warwick. Also not sure if it makes a difference or not but I occasionally get the engine light come on and a Emissions workshop warning on th...

Re: My newbies guide to keyfob battery changing

Just to add to this thread (as it helped me) I got some batteries off eBay, straight swap with no need for re programming for me.

So nice to be able to lock / unlock the car without having to be stood 1" away from it!

Re: Whats this worth?

Iv previously owned 2 an 827 sli and an 827 Vitesse

That model with the face lift had the later k series lump in it usually.

Beautiful engine, nice and smooth 170bhp.

Check out the TT lap done in one.

I loved my Vitesse.

Re: Strange rattling noise from front

Check the starter motor, mine had all but fallen off, was giving a rattling noise from around the drivers wheel arch area, sometimes increasing the revs at idle would make it go away.

A few weeks after it initially started rattling it then started not engaging.

Pressed metal plates / surrounds - opinions please

I have just put my private plate on my B5.5 Passat estate, as the retention certificate was about to run out. It used to be in my truck (L200 DNG) so isnt massively suited to the car but still. I'm going to get some road legal pressed metal plates to funk it up a little so wanted to ask the opinions...

Re: Winter Tyres.

Just don't do what many people do by only fitting winter tyres at the front! Not only you are stupid, you are increasing the risk of having an accident and pretty sure your insurance company would use that as an excuse not to pay. Guess I must be stupid then...... Not sure how I'm increasing the ri...

Re: Show us your other ride

Pmsl ! Good background isn't it! I was invited on a tunnel run around london a while back, and somehow due to the first few cars taking a wrong turn ended up leading the pack. (Which considering I do not know my way around London is not a good thing) I pulled into a side road at the earliest opportu...
