hello folks im new to passat b4 driving....so havent a clue what there weak points are ....as ive been in mk2 golfs for years.... so really just looking for some info on them...in genral...rust spots to watch for...mechanical weak points...leaks... the model i drive is 1993 b4 estate 2.0 cheers for ...

what suspension do you have on ur passat...as im looking into new for mine...as its bit to low for daily driver..your's seems nice and low but still reasonable clearence...almost 8) ......

i it looks spot on colin....all the mods are like factory ...vw should of made them like this out the box...but then we'd have nae fun

splitter is from a seat toledo...cheers for comments...my only fault with car is its to low....measured it today...at the lowest point ive only got about 3'' from the ground ....but looking for a set of shocks and springs about 60mm drop....cos i reckon its about 100mm at the moment or more

how low is it sitting????....just so i can get idea...as im looking for 80mm

have to say colin this has to be my favorite car you've had over last couple of years...was a f**king monster :twisted: ....my favorite memory of it has to be when i followed you to mega meet through at edinburgh kartland....you went in for fuel at harthill...and on way out you nailed that pedal.......

nah cut a swap deal with jaye...yes :shock: i swaped my mk2 16v for a passat bus....but mk2 is needing some work...and desreves better as was getting to much abuse as daily driver....and rest asured i'll get another mk2 in time...but will miss that wee car like hell...but passat suits my daily needs...

im looking for comfort...so be better with springs and shocks....had a look about on the net...only offer 40mm drop...so maybe go for the coli's...as im wanting 60 possibly 80 mm....will have a look on some german sites...see what i get..... couldnt care how it handles...more for just plodding about...
