There is usually a plate under bonnet sometimes on strut top with front and rear axle weights, 1 is front 2 is rear in KG

Re: fitting audi a4/a6 eibach springs to passat b5.5?

Might be a bit controversial but you can take half a coil out the front and still have the spring tension there so as to not allow the spring to dislocate, not like the youg uns cutting a couple out, I've done it on a couple of cars with good results, when I sold my 5.5 I gave the Eibach springs to ...

What did happen , sorry to go there . Remember well decades ago at drooling over a 3.0L CE coupe , the two tone , the AMG wheels, but it was just too mature for me back then . It's ok been a couple of years since so no drama ;-) So I had it a couple of months, lovely car, cruised around like an arm...

Re: New one, Gaz will like this ;-)

Just don't go there, gutted about that one!! Was a beautiful car. On another note had a bit of a result yesterday, PO found the original 3 button flip key and posted it to me! but it only opens the doors, wont do remote and wont start the car so I'm a bit stumped. I assume the key was lost and he mu...

There's a couple on EBay that are fairly cheap for that year, an exec and highline. the highline has 77k on it for 5.5k

Re: 2.0tdi executive catastrophic breakdown! (Arnold Clark)

I would be invoking your rights, seems they have tried to fix and failed therefore, use the below and get your money back less the mileage you have done, you are not going to have faith in the car now anyway so get rid. If a car develops a fault within the first 30 days of purchase, it is under stat...

Re: New one, Gaz will like this ;-)

My workmate have quite well equipped 3.0tdi quattro automatic. Comfortable and powerful enough, but one thing I hate on these. All buttons on dashboard and centre console has tendency to peel off black top layer. Even being at 130k miles, which isn't high mileage in my opinion. Actually something s...

:D S3 as car car can't fault it, just have gained a bit of a reputation, there's a seemingly nice one on eBay now in the nogaro blue, also an RS2 in the same colour :ymdaydream: if only. How you finding it now you've had it for a few days? Lovely to drive but a damn parking brake fault has popped u...

Re: New one, Gaz will like this ;-)

A6 seems to have a better image than say the A3/A4/A5 being the 'knob' cars lol, even the TT seems to fall under the better image, off the radar type car! Yeah Gaz, that was another one on my list, looked at a 170 but they have DPF, nice car though with the leather and a certain flair inside, fairly cheap as well as they fly under the radar.

Re: New one, Gaz will like this ;-)

Nice motor and imo the right choice, I recall seeing you post recently asking around for a b5/5.5 and I did think the Audi option would be the route I'd go down. Didn't speak up as didn't want to go against the collective :D and be seen as telling people what they should get. Don't get me wrong, th...

Re: New one, Gaz will like this ;-)

Isn't A6 C6 front suspension different compared to b6 Passat? Layout looks pretty much the same as b5/c5 control arms. That might make a difference how it feels and handles. [/quote] Yeah I assumed so, I know the B5.5 was a bit complicated on that front but it does work well when in good condition, ...

Re: New one, Gaz will like this ;-)

Usual default answer of 507.00 . They seem almost rare those C6 A6 as the same car the B6 Passat out stripped the sales with it's better price . See how it goes , guess they suffer the same B6's short comings . Cheers, thought as much on the oil. Yeah B6 basically, although I have driven a few B6's...

New one, Gaz will like this ;-)

So after 2 disaster Subarus, diesel one broke and petrol one was rotten I found out after trading it for a dang Festa Ghia I have been running (good little car) aI was out for a Passat but finding one without rotten wings and moon mileage was a problem so I went a different route. Not the normal Aud...

Wanting another B5.5

So after some disaster cars over the last couple of years I've decided to get another B5.5 estate if possible, are any of you guys thinking of selling yours? Don't mind some mods etc but nothing dumped on it's hole scraping the floor and non rusty wings is a bonus but something that can be sorted if...

Well that didn't last long, less than 1k and the engine pooped itself, no pre warning, I'm done with modern diesels, should have kept the old Passat, old guy bought it and is going to put a petrol engine in it! I was up poo creek and we came to a deal with a Subaru Outback he had (Subaru nut), I did...

Spot the difference

So recently got sent an expected 'original' map file for someone who wanted a remap, not saying who it is as they we unaware of what was on their car but I have to say I was a bit shocked, this is why you don't get dodgy maps, I did a re write from a base AWX instead..... https://cdn.discordapp.com/...
