Re: Boot full of water.
Another common place for water ingress is behind the taillights. Remove the lamp and you will see a horizontal seam in the bodywork, just covered by the top of black inner part of the lamp near the boot seal. I resealed this on my B6 and it sorted my leak. I had previously cleaned the seals around t...

Temperature Gauge Malfunction
On my 05 B6 1.9TDI (BKC eng) Passat, the temperature gauge is playing up. It rises to 70-75deg and not much further. It will wander around between 70 and 80deg but never reaches 90 as it should, even on a very long drive. I have replaced the coolant temp sender on the engine, but it hasnt made any d...

Injector Issue - Misfire
On my 2005 BKC 1.9 105bhp Passat, it will often shudder between 1800 and 2000rpm and start running on 3 cylinders. If I shut it off and turn it back on again it will run fine. A diagnostic check has found a fault code "PD Unit Injector, Cylinder 1 (N240)". Is this a common issue? Is it a w...

Re: Bonnet adjustment.
Easy enough. Where the bonnet bolts to the hinges you get a bit of fore and aft as well as side to side adjustment, and where the hinges bolt to the body you get some height adjustment.

Re: Checking Actual Real Mileage

Checking Actual Real Mileage
Is it possible to check the real mileage a car has covered? Is it logged on the ECU so you can check it with VAGCOM (VCDS?)? A friend of mine bought a 2010 B6 saloon recently and we have our doubts as to weither the mileage displayed is correct or if it has been clocked. :-? There has been a suggest...

Re: Water in spare wheel well in 2008 TDI Sport saloon
I had a similar problem on my 05 saloon. I sealed up around the boot hinge rubbers and cleaned out the drain tubes under them as they were well blocked. It still leaked. Eventually found where it was coming in. If you remove the rear tailight clusters (on the body) you will find a horizontal body se...
