Hi Guy's.

Haven't been here in a few year's looking at a 58 plate Passat 1.6 TDI with only 20k miles.

Any thoughts or opinions on the B8 especially this engine.

Yes even a few months, does it sound lumpy when you pull the key to switch off the engine or does it die instantly??

I had that problem it's the anti shudder valve or throttle body not opening, it cannot be cleaned and must be replaced..

I sold my B6 but still love this site, Truckermal is my username on the gram..

I've got the standard discover unit and it is there - accessed in the same way as on the video. If memory serves, you have to press the car button, then bottom left the selection option and then the sport option. To get the dials as shown in the video you have to use the arrows on the left and righ...

B8 has a euro 6 engine.

My wife's A4 also had the front tyres changed at the first service and they were Dunlop, i think seems premium tyres don't last pissing time!!!

Savage motor Chris I love it..

Passat for me wife had a highline B6 and I loved it especially the sports seats in Nappa leather. We purchased a s line A4 brand new this year and I hate it for so many reasons like driving position, interior space etc etc and a B8 Passat is miles ahead of a B6.

Re adaption procedure???? Sounds complicated Adaption is pretty straightforward it's on martin's site somewhere, now cleaning is a waste of time as the plug gets soaked in oil and other gunk so that fcuks it up. 5274 is for the DAB units 5270 is the latest for the rest of them I think but could be wrong.
