Could be turbo fella on my old Passat I cleaned the turbo vnt put it back on with new oil feed pipe but I forgot to bleed oil through and I used to get this screeching/whistle noise got it fixed then cracked egr through over tightening that gave out a whistle also

In Leeds anyone heard or used em about 300-350 for full car dip plus wheels any car any colour there pics look good but anyone had personnel experiance as for that price might drive up there

I would change the cts not hard to do and no big buck's involved. Your problem is almost the reverse of mine after changing stat and coolant genius stat gsf grade g13 my car gets up to temp driving at sixty on dual carriageway n about 15-20 mins but if I put my foot down to overtake and then mainta...

Just had a thought I've fitted a map insert and went without front number plate until I got metal ones made up and fitted for the mot its sitting with top edge 4 inches lower then was before could this be obstructing radiator thus holding running temps higher cheers

No not fumey don't think it is head gasket car doesn't overheat just its running temps have changed by 6 degress or so pipes arnt overpressurising and I thought head gasket had a sniffer test done and all clear

Had all the air sucked out of my cooling system today but wasn't holding it air tight somewhere air is being sucked in I'm getting a new rad and coolant bottle and cap there is no sign of coolant leaking out but its getting air sucked in anyone got any ideas cheers all

Having the cooling system vacuum tested and double check that no air in system 200 miles done and car still running around 98 degrees

Car was motd today it passed with no advisories but the dicks at the garage somehow managed to break the interior toggle button for adjusting the electric mirrors I've tried pushing it back on but no joy any ideas

Also don't no if linked but avg mpg is down to 33 mpg on a steady run CTS is 6 months old genuine so doubt that's the issue its not throwing up any codes either cheers

Done 100 miles to Sudbury and back to norwich today Car went up to 99 then slowly crept down can hold temp at 90 if I keep to approx 60 mph any faster then car temp goes up will check hoses tomorrow and poss get another stat and change anyway is there any chance that the cheap gsf g13 run at a diff ...

Same prob here ! Blead it 5 times now, cabin heater works now and again, and car overheats on the motorway or going up hills :/ Fitted a aftermarket new stat as it wasnt getting up to temp, now it gets to temp really quick and overheats :( Can hear air bubbling around heater matrix when turn engine...

No that ain't right mine is deffo a PD and my tax is 123.75 for 6 months and 225 for 12 monthsT2000 wrote:Checking on the vehicle liabilty check it says CO2 emissions not available and it is £225 for a years tax so it is not a PD they are around £135 a year. Oh and the tax expired the end of Nov.
