Even replacement front mechs are poo ! I had one from Eurocrap-arts in the UK, that broke ! Then I tried one last year from Ebay, the small spot welds holding the scissor joint broke whilst installing it !!! The front bushes on the track control arms need replacing on my 96 1Z estate. Research says bushes are available or do I opt for the complete arms complete with bushes. Any of you guys have experience with these ? & which are the best / worst parts on the market ?? Thanks in advance ! ;)

It might be worth disconnecting the door handle switches ? Many VWs have problems with the lock barrel and these switches. To control the windows from the lock barrel isn't a feature I need much !! Now my passenger window clonks loudly at the top of it's travel so this function is a bit annoying !!!...

Mine have also been a pain in the A** !! On more than 1 car !! The nearside rear had broken cables inside the rubber boot/bellows, easily fixed !! :) I've just come in from trying to fix the drivers door window. I too need the metal channel that holds the window to the sliding part of the mechanism....

Just checked Heritage's website. It says 2-3 weeks from Classic parts.At least if I can't find a 2nd hand one I know where to get a new 1 !!! ;)

It's defo a U strip with rubber. I'm in Gloucester.

You can find them on EBay.de. Search for " Passat 35i heck spoiler ". Heck meaning rear/back. The nearest to original VW on the after-market might have been made by Kamei. Perhaps they made them in the 90s ????

VW sunroofs usually suffer with cable faults. I'm breaking a B4 if its the same roof/electrics. You're welcome to have any parts including the switch.PM for details or see my add in the breaking section.
