Re: Battery Drain & bits

Cheers, may try pulling out the HU, had it professional fitted so really don't know what is fitted at the back. Radio reception can be dodgy so not sure if the twin Fakra was fitted?
How much is reasonable for Hunter check and adjustment

Re: Battery Drain & bits

Drain is about 0.3 amps, which does seem high, I disconnected the F7 fuse for radio in engine bay and no change.
I may put VCDS on to see if anything odd going on.
VAG specialist said that OK just to change one spring too.

Re: Battery Drain & bits

Had advisory on leaky shocker and sawtooth. I'm going to see what Indy says about suspension, its not the main car, used for large items and local tip. A few days prior to snap I heard a deep grinding noise like a ship rubbing against a harbour wall. Sorry to be a bit thick but how do i test for dra...

B6 is used for all the heavy duty stuff but only does about 5K a year. Approaching 100k on clock and just about got through MOT last month. 1. I have recent...

Coded it on my B6 2006. Light up on unlock. For coming home you leave lights on then pull flash. You can code the time. Out there on net

Re: Choosing head unit - options

Hi skip. Looking at something like this. Was considering Veryon but seems better value
1. What did it work out delivered.
2. Is everything included
3. Is it a straight forward fit swap out with RCD
4. Anything else

Many thanks

Re: Passat B6 - Common Faults Support Thread

I bought my Passat as a commuter/daily driver/family car. I have heard a figure of 400000 replacement calipers fir Passat B6's mentioned. That figure was mentioned by an owner on Facebook who was told that figure by TRW's parent company apparently. Not sure how many B6's were built between 2005 and...

Mines always seemed to blow cooler on passenger side after about 30 mins on motorway. Never managed to get to bottom of issue. I just turn dial up to solve

Re: Cold running problems?

1. Afew details would be helpful, Diesel or Petrol, engine & transmission.
2. If Diesel, have the injectors been replaced following recall?
3. Use an indy not main dealer unless in warranty
4. Ps if B5 you need to change forums
