I used halfrauds grey primer and canbrush spray paint, it seems to be holding but will probs get done again if I decide to do the wheels again!

Are you running an after marker head unit?
If so it will be the. Blue or blue and white cable on the back of the head unit

Mine does the same, the noise emanates from the top if the engine (i think!)

Autoglym tyre shine spray stuff (descriptive , I know) works really well on the rubbed hoses and black plastics in the engine bay.
Spray on and a quick wipe to spread it just leave to dry off, it leaves a nice satin finish

I think I see what's happened! Let me get this right, you have ran power from the battery to the amp and fused at the battery end Earthed directly from amp to chassis/body and ran the remote from the cigarette lighter power on wire So far so good? You have then cut the oem speaker wires and ran them...

Sounds like a ground loop issue, are you using an own head unit r an after market unit?
Could be a simple fix!

If you decide to go down that route consider your options carefully, you sit up front so spent the money there, first then either disconnect and leave or bang a set of decent components in the rear ( this is what I'd do anyhow!)
