Re: VCDS P0299 Boost Pressure Regulation:
My DPF light comes on once a week at the moment and twice I have had to use VCDS to force a re gen. The car has 179k on the clock which is over the expected life of a DPF is it not? All vacuum and boost pipes along with the turbo actuator and N75 have been tested and came back working fine. The DPF ...

Hi Richard, thank you for your post, please can you tell me how I can verify it is working correctly? I have been told by many that it is the dpf that needs clearing out, should I get this done?

I have measured the resistance across the terminals of the N75 valve and it says 15 ohms. which is apparently correct.

I have had this twice on the passenger door and the electronic opener needs resetting, simple to do.
open the door and pull both the inside and outside door handles at the same time repeatedly, after about 10 pulls there will be a click and the handle will have resistance again and work.

Update!
I did do a vcds forced regen, in about 10 miles on m1 it had cleared everything and has since driven fine!
As said above the dpf and turbo temps get to over 600 degrees which is scary but it works. If anyone is near m1 j27 and has similar issues let me know, I am willing to use my laptop ...

I have a 2007 57 plate passat which has developed a slight clunk from the front. A quick look hints at the steering rack, when stationary if I rock my steering wheel lift to right no matter what direction the front wheels are pointing I get a clunk, both physical and audible. This is felt ...

It a turbo replacement on a BMR engine a simple job? Or do I need to get the garage to do it? Midland Turbos will rebuild it for me but trying to save money where possible.
Thanks

Hey Guys,
Just rang VW and they say they cant tell me without stripping it down. How can i tell what engine my 57 plate 170ps is and if i need to worry about this? Mine has done 97 k now and i am a high mileage driver so really cant afford to have it go wrong. Thanks for any advice.
