Why not just dump the lot and fit a VR6 in it !!!!!

I spaced out the rear beam on my MK1 Caddy, using alloy blocks, 25mm on 1 side and 30mm on the other. For some reason the axle was not central on the car, a common problem with build quality on Caddies I believe !


Had no adverse handling issues and looked the dogs danglies IMO

Had a similar prob with replacement engine 1.6t/d in my old MK1 Caddy.

Turned out ALL 4 glowplugs were shot !!!! ----- after a week of trying to get it going and also investigating fueling issues that did NOT exist !


repalced and fired first turn of the key---

Then can I assume that 16" Audi TT wheels would fit OK ??

Not sure--they were bought 2nd hand in error thinking they would fit. He needed 5 x 112 and these are 5 x 100 which I believe will fit my hubs.

Might give it a miss though--really dont want to do any bodywork mods.

Considering fitting larger wheels to my lowered B4 VR6 estate. Currently on original 15" BBS alloys have been offered some 18 x 8j Audi Alloys =35mm offset, 40 profile tyres. Will these fit-- will they be tooo big/arch clearance probs as I do NOT wish to roll or pull the arches. Any body ? cheers

Thays great help--it was the rear wipe causing me the headache

BUT and theres always a BUT, on the front face of the stalk there is a "slider" switch marked 0 1 2 0 from left to right---this does not appear to do anything!!! what is it for ?
