Re: B 5.5 PD130 Sport Gearbox Whine

Morning All

Thanks for the heads up.

Can anyone clarify if the drain and fill bung is a specialist multispline or 10mm Allen key?

Oil change this weekend in the hope of making this box a little less noisy.

B 5.5 PD130 Sport Gearbox Whine

Evening All Well I'm back in a passat after a long sabbatical. I have picked up a 2003 sport with leather, heated seats and factory xenon's. After a service and MOT I have noticed that I have an annoying gearbox whine in 4th and 5th from the gearbox. Has anyone had any success at quieting this down ...

Vagcom and Coding In Yorkshire

I'm looking for some helpful Yorkshiremen who have vagcom and can program a set of clocks for me. My fuel and temperature gauges have stopped working and I believe second hand clocks might be a cheaper option than sending the display off for repair. I'm happy to pay. :-P Failing that can anyone reco...

Re: Fuel And Temp Gauge Fault Help Please??

Hello I live just outside York. I stripped out the cluster today at work and nothing looks untoward on the back of the PCB. Has anyone got a copy or a link to the wiring digram for the cluster and the pins and ohms required at the cluster. It makes sence to test for continuity and confirm that both ...

Fuel And Temp Gauge Fault Help Please??

On the drive home from work both the fuel and temperature gauge decided to pack up. The car is a 2003 1.9 tdi 130 with 162,000 miles and drives like a dream. I pulled over quickly to check the water and oil and all was well and topped of as I expected. I don't want to dive in and replace the sensors...

Anyone in Yorkshire with Vag Com ??

Hello

Is there anyone in the York area who has vag com able to plug into my passat for some beer tokens.

I suspect my turbo has gone pop but could do with a diagnostic check to confirm.

Systems are zero boost. checked all the hoses and N75 valve.

Thanks

Re: Rad And Condenser Change Advise?

I haven't cracked into the system yet. The condensing rad in front of the engine rad has a hole in it and its loosing fluid. When I remove it I will obviously have to crack into the air con gas side. Is there a way to do this without opening the dryer up to moisture. Shut of valves? If I refit the s...

O.k I will have a look at the siren. The rear passenger carpet on the LHS was damp at some point last year before I cleaned the drain plugs. The piston seal has gone on mine but I have rebuilt callipers in the past. Second hand parts are ok if money is tight but its easier in the long run to replace both with refurbished units to save on time?

Door Card Removal? Window and Lock U/S

Has anyone any links/tips on removing the rear door cards?

My rear passenger window has stopped working and the door wont lock either>

I'm thinking a solenoid has packed up on the lock mechanism.

Any tips please?
