I have no crank sensor on this AAZ engine, so I don’t think that’s the issue,my glow plugs are working correctly and are without fault.
My vehicle will not start though, it turns over with plenty of life and if you put brake cleaner in the air ...

Photos of B4 Water Deflector /Windscreen Motor cover please
Hello,
Does anyone have a part number or even better pictures of the water deflector that covers the windscreen motor on the B4 please?
I need the part but have no idea what it looks like or how it fits.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Non starting B4 AAZ
Update.
I have found the OBD plug on the vehicle and carried out a scan on using VCDS. There is only one control module on the car - for Airbags. There are no other control modules and I’d guess therefore no immobiliser, although I’ll stand corrected if I’m wrong.
The car is now starting as normal ...

Thanks for the reply.
I have no flashing red key and don’t think I’ve ever seen one come up on start up and extinguish ever. Do all
B4 Passat’s have an immobiler?
I have VCDS but thought the vehicle was too old for it, I’ll have a look for the OBD plug next.
Thanks

Non starting B4 AAZ
Hello,
I’m wondering if you guys have any ideas about my non starting Passat?
It’s an 1994 1.9 AAZ TD
It was running and starting fine, and then this morning it’s just turning over at normal cranking speed and no sign of firing at all.
I haven’t had it that long and it did have a dysfunctional ...

Rear Diff Oil for 4 motion
Hi All,
I have a slight leak on one drive shaft from my rear diff on my 2004 1.9TDI 4 Motion.
I need to fix the leak - hopefully just the oil seal, and fairly straightforward I hope.
The question I have is what oil goes in the rear diff and quantity required please?
If anyone can share any info ...

Re: Instructions for replacing rear springs 4 motion estate
Thanks for the response, doesn't sound too bad a job.
I'll get the tracking checked afterwards as advised.
Could you point me towards the toe bolt you recommend checking, not sure which one it is.
Thanks again.
