Re: Kia Sedona ????

Yeh be careful mate if you do buy one. They are quick being 2.9's - juicy round town not too bad on a run 40ish on a run. Build quality not great - interior plastics etc. The 2.8 chrysler voyagers are good - I've had a few of them too - much more reliable and (i think) are chain driven... Sent from ...

Yes mate borrowed my friends s600 the other day and was sat middle lane of m4 and m3 sped past. I floored it, caught him up easily and he slowed quite harshly thinking I was the old bill.... I went passed and he struggled to keep up. Became quite twitchy at 130 though Sent from my iPhone using Tapat...

Re: Finally found a car I like................

Sell it privately, if you can stretch to buy the Lexus and bide your time selling the Passat....I too have been thinking of buying a Lexus RX350 LPG or S600 Merc S Class as with the price of LPG that S Class would be like returning 30ish mpg

To second that, check - paid £40 for a boost sensor once, rather complacent of me got home, opened the box to find a dirty sensor and opened bag... ...someone had swapped out their old sensor, put it back in the box, obviously taken it back for a refund, been given it and the guy behind the counter...

Re: Bizarre....

Thanks chaps - will check the thermostat - it was bought from carparts4less for about £5 i think.... I'll buy a genuine one and see how I get on.... So are we in agreement that because the thermostat may be jammed open the coolant is not heating up and so the coolant temp sensor is giving a false r...

Re: ABS Light plus ESP Light

1) check lights
2) check sensors
3) check wiring (if possible)
4) quite possibly the ABS module is at fault - common on A6's, A4's and B5's (that late 90's era) but not seen a b5.5 go wrong...

Bizarre....

Drove my AWX Audi A6 to Spain a couple of months ago and had the coolant temp sensor changed a long with belt, water pump and a load of other stuff before I went. Made the mistake of buying a cheap chinky £4.99 temp sensor which died within 700 miles of my 1400 mile journey but was working for thos...

Re: Why does this happen everytime?

Thanks chaps for the responses - where on earth do you get these housings? Just looking into how easy to replace as I'm doing 700/900 miles a week and cannot afford to be broken down halfway up the country. Some say coolant flanges they are called but that search turns up nothing. The housing on min...

Re: Why does this happen everytime?

Tried changing the coolant temp sensor on my a6 (awx) and I think I've broken the housing.... Have i? I think I have broken the two metal bits that the circlip goes through as I stupidly tried pulling the sensor out without removing the plastic circlip. Didn't even realise there was a circlip. Any ...
