had same problem with a ex wifes merc was simple change battery in key

tnx lad was relay i replaced it from gsf all ok now

i have another problem

last week flashers blew a fuse i put in new one worked except rear left
but hazards all worked about an hour later they all stopped when i press hazard switch it stays on no flash
but nothing outside or on dash .. being told need a relay but witch one

only today i stuck that little piece of metal where the two little spot welds should be with some jb weld worked a treat

i find if it comes on i ignore it then when up to temp turn off engine.. light goes out and stays out for few days i don't wanna really get into the habit off ignoring red lights on the dash also previous owener fitted new res not to long ago think now problem is in dash board as sometimes fuel gaug...

the red light comes on a lot sometimes when cold but coolant level correct
i think sensor fuxxed so is it
expansion tank sensor or something else
just fitted thermostat didn't solve it all is working as it should water is getting around
fan is switching on as it should
