Ive managed to get hold of one of these but its not going to go in my Passat. The connector is different and after reading it online, it looks like I will need 3D dash, new BCM and new CAN Gateway

just needs coding via vcds now to get rid of the Optical parking system that is triggered when car is in reverse

nope because the camera wont pop out - stays locked in a closed position

yes - the reverse light power is the trigger wire - yellow cable - I have it connected to pin 2 as I tested it with a multimeter with the car in reverse

boot lid closed and vcds adaptations all done. really baffled. seller on ebay sold as brand new camera - never been used in his passat cc

Hi,

Purchased a Genuine rear view flip out camera kit for my Passat CC - Lowline version. Routed all the wiring from boot to headunit but the camera doesn't flip out.
Wiring was straightforward as it was the genuine kit - wire connected to RNS 510 head unit and activated via vcds.

I have a mini 0806 in my passat cc and it is brilliant - hard-wired into the fuse box and running off the cigarette lighter fuse

The USB slot is for the Delphi RCD 510. It has a slot to plug in at the back for USB input.

Afaik the Kenwood will not show up on VCDS or need coding in. Im surprised you had to change the Gateway. I have a friend with a 2005 mk6 golf and no problems with battery drain

ive got a supervag 3.0 - around Â£200 from aliexpress - i can confirm it works with white clocks - tried it on a 2009 Passat cc, 2006 passat b6 aswell as a 2010 audi tt

yep, thread has just become much more complicated than its needed to be. op just wants to clear a code

will probably be cheaper and better in the long run to buy a small handheld code scanner - around Â£15 for one and its yours to keep

can be changed in VCDS i think - I can confirm ive changed it on mine but I have a rns 510 with a seperate bluetooth module.
