Re: new discs & pads 1.8t

I just used the 288mm mtec discs they look epic behind the wheel and the performance is great me personally I won't upgrade to the bigger set up unless I'm running 300bhp + lol

Yeah it's legal as long as there is good tyre contact on the road and the side walls are not touching the road lol. Was thinking of doing it myself lol

Re: An observation....

PSItuning about £150 for coils and adapters but call them first with your engine code so they know what adapters you need. There worth every penny best mod I've done my history folder has quite a few receipts for the old dreaded 1.8t coils lol MOT emissions were also low :-bd Cool thanks for that ...

Re: Bump stiffeners

Am I reading right? Both bump stops used each corner? Or just originals instead of correct shorter ones from coilovers You can also get shorter ones from a sport model passat. Yes both bump stops on each corner lol so that's the coilover one and the bump stop that's at the top near the top mount. I...

Bump stiffeners

Evening all, i fitted my coilovers in april and recently changed the top mounts and my mechanic friend who was helping me said that I only need the bump stiffener that's on top not the one that came with my coilover kit hence why the ride is bouncy. Is this true or how do you have yours. Any advice ...

So the front brakes could do with being updated and as the MOT was today I did the work Sunday. I wanted something that looked good behind e wheel so went for drilled and grooved. Here is a pic of it http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/k567/fuzzynutsgsi/0dfdf55d9ab56112255cfa31fa6d1ee9.jpg I really ...

Re: Recommend me some replacement speakers

I'm running hertz deci speakers and tweeters they cost £79.99 and come with crossovers and tweeters I used some mdf spacers to replace the plastic OEM ones like said before you have to drill out the old speaker first. I put some sound deadening behind the speaker on the door panel to reduce vibrati...

Re: B5 estate 1.8t drilled and grooved discs

Wouldn't recomend getting grooved and drilled as you end up removing too much braking surface on the disc and in theory making the disc size smaller Better to go for 1 or the other imo I always thought the drilled and grooved discs were meant to better than a standard disc I've used them on other c...
