Re: 2 stroke oil

Yeah absolutely . The results if smoke measured before dpf would reduce soot for all dervs . It's all about reducing diesels inherent ignition delay . Audi 3.0 V6 TDI quattro is a diesel GTR , and for a long time what I was going to buy next... Cheers mate. I'll start sticking it in the tank then 👍...

Gaz - is the carlube JASO FB ok to use with cars that have a DPF? Just bought an audi 3.0litre TDI but it has DPF, so wondering if i can use the same 2 stroke oil i did on my 2.7 tdi without DPF. If not, which oil do i need to buy?

Re: airbag warning light and no horn

I certainly would try that first. I bought one for about 20 quid off ebay. Easy to fit. Just make sure its central when you fit it - i.e equal number of turns each way, or you'll break the wiring when you turn the wheel. Also you'll need the airbag fault clearing.

Re: Another folding mirror question

If you look on the sticker which has all the option codes (3 character codes), you can use a website to find out exactly what options your car has. Or ring VW. Not sure puddle lights under mirrors always = folding mirrors. My audi a6 has puddle lights but doesnt have folding mirrors

Which one will be fine, the one posted by me or the kit posted by 1.9 tdi?
Thanks

No, you need to take the door card off. THe speak is then held in place with rivets, unfortunately. When i replaced my rear speakers, i drilled out the rivets and replaced with screws and nuts.

Re: Seized bolts on track rod ends.

The dealers will sell them, but dont have a part number to hand. Water gets in an corrodes them in place, plenty of soaking in plus gas and a hammer should do it. But i had to heat mine up with a torch. Get a socket on the end of the bolt and try turning it whilst its hot. If you get it moving, the...

Had this too, changed the wire clip that sits on the outer side of the caliper and all gone. Try that first.

I do have some carriers in the garage you can have if you pay for postage, if the clip doesnt sort it.

Had this same issue with the wifes passat over christmas. Was going in to limp mode too. Scanned it and fault MAF - implausible signal appeared. Changed MAF and its now fine.
