Being so specific with requirements will make your task difficult, not impossible but difficult.

Re: V maxx coilovers. Anyone got any comments on them?
If youve only got v maxx cash to spend, then youd be better off getting shocks/springs. you would get a decent set for the same price as the v maxx coilovers and you prob wont regret spending the cash on the shocks/springs.

Re: WTF??? anyone???
Sounds like the brake master cylinder is on its way out. but odd that you were able to pull it back up and then use it as normal, without it just going to the floor again.

Re: wheels et
hi mini_dub. Running spares doesnt bother me as such, i run 10mm spacers on the corrado. but its something id ideally like to avoid - only reason i run them on the corrado is because i love the set of wheels i got but they required 5-10mm spacers to get them to clear the front brakes. so for the rig...

wheels et
hi all,
can anyone tell me what range of ET without using spacers wheels fit on a b5 and what the standard ET is?
i know the can be an open question as it also depends on width. so if i say go on 7 or 7.5j wheels
Thank you
Gaz

Re: V maxx coilovers. Anyone got any comments on them?
Fair enough if you dont find them too bad. but v-maxx are indeed budget coilovers. something like weitecs are mid range.
looking on ebay, they range from £372 - £560, for not much more you could get a set of weitecs which are good midrange coilovers.

IME they p00p. Havent had them fitted to a passat, only a corrado and seriously they're cheap for a reason. They didnt ride well, very harsh. save you £££ and get something better. Cheapest id go are Weitecs.
