I got both aero arms you can have for free if you can get to Bristol! Thanks for the offer but bristols a bit far from me in Leicester. There's a breakers yards here who says he's got one in stock but I gotta wait till Monday to pick it up. If it doesn't work out then happy to buy yours and pay for...

Someone nicked my wiper arm/blade
Just woke up this morning to go to work and noticed my front drivers side wiper arm and wiper has been snapped off and taken. Not sure if it was vandals or some dirty low class peasant who'd been casing my car 02 b5.5 for a few months just for this part as i'd noticed the wiper pulled up a few times...

Re: Cant open left rear door
not sure if its really a mot failure if rear doors dont open from this http://www.mot-test.net/mock-test/doors/.
says rear doors just need to be opened to gain access to the rear seatbelts. but one rear door opens anyway.

Re: Cant open left rear door
Don't know, best to do a proper job. It's weird that 9x out of 10 it's THAT door, doesn't make sense. And 9x out of 10 a new lock mech sorts. In my case after much head scratching and going on a theory the electric window motor provides a signal , having replaced both it was traced to a corroded br...

Re: Rear 12v socket. Is it meant to work ?
with respect I only ever refer to the B5/B5.5 in the B5/B5.5 section a test light allows you to check for a live feed simply by connecting the ground and you can test fuses ect for power very quickly, if you look at the top of a fuse you will see two metal contacts if you have power to one but not ...

Rear 12v socket. Is it meant to work ?
I have a 2002 B5.5 Sport.
I've tried the 12v socket that is at the rear of the front centre arm rest and it doesnt work.
Is it just a blank socket thats not connected to anything or does it have a fuse that may have blown ?

Do you use a dremel ? What do you use it for ?
Not long ago I bought a cordless drill and I've been making a lot of uses of it doing some diy around the house that was well over due. Since then am going through a phase of buying diy gadgets. Now am thinking of getting a dremel. The 3000 model seems to go for about £50, so not really expensive. ...

Re: Any DIY'ers recommend a cordless drill ?
Not going to get a decent cordless for that price. You'd want at least 18v and if putting shelves up you'd want a hammer drill cordless. Bosch or Makita drills are your best option. You'd be looking at £150 + What sort of drill would you recommend without hammer function because I can always borro...
