Any DIY'ers recommend a cordless drill ?
Am after a cordless drill that can drill through wood, metal, plastics and walls to put up shelves. I don't want a super duper £200 job. Just something that will function. Not sure what sort of spec I should be looking at. Ideally priced £50-£100. Cheaper the better.

Re: Recommend a strong adhesive for front number plate
ok made some test holes in the bumper. theres a part where it hits the beam behind within 5mm.
The parts where theres some depth of 2cm would need to be made where the lettering is on the number plate or too centred.

Re: Recommend a strong adhesive for front number plate
changed my mind about sticky pads.
I've got a load of holes on the front bumper from previous but most of them i use seem to be blocked by the beam behind.
Can anyone recommed where about i should be making the holes on the bumper ?

It's got 102k on clock. It doesn't jump out of gear, just when taking off in slow speed in 1st it'll vibrate. Doesn't vibrate or slip on hard acceleration.

Clutch juddering
Recently my car has started juddering when am moving off in 1st gear. Could this be a sticky clutch cable or the whole clutch ? If its the clutch, i wouldnt want to replace the DMF aswell even though most would recommend as i dont cover much miles and probably only keep it for another 18 months. Its...

Re: Need a wing mirror
Hi, My side mirror is OK, but I need to pop off the glass to check the non-working heating element. I read that the clip behind the mirror can be prised off, when the mirror is angled down and in. However, I can't work out which is the clip behind the mirror glass, and am afraid to use force and ig...

Took car back to halfords autocentre for retest and they passed it. They were even generous to not charge me retest fee. But I still won't be taking the car there again at there prices.

Re: Wheel Bearing for MOT. Quoted £200 ?
Just got car back from garage. replaced wheel bearing.
Feels like a different car now. smoother ride. There used to be a slight droning noise when driving at speed which i always thought was from the gearbox but now thats gone.

My car just failed the MOT at Halfords Autocentre for a wheel bearing and they quoted me £200 to replace excluding tracking.

My boost is very little and was going into limp mode alot but after wriggling some things around the engine bay i don't get limp mode but still get...

The most it let me put in was 45L when the indicator was saying 10 miles left. I filled it till the nozzle started clicking at the pump.
I drove 500 miles on that 45L. 95% on motorway @ 70MPH all the way.
