Airbag module coding, help needed
Hi all, Looking for some help/advice My dad has a 2008 b6 2.0tdi Passat The airbag module became faulty, he purchased another 2nd hand one with the same part numbers on eBay, however once fitted it does not recognise it. Is it possible to recode a 2nd hand module? Looking at the numbers on the label...

Re: fitting audi a4/a6 eibach springs to passat b5.5?
Why not to get proper b5.5 Passat springs? Remember they are all different between various engines and saloon and estate. Taking springs from different car even if they fit in place, still might cause car sitting too high or too low due to different weights on axles. Better get in touch with suppli...

fitting audi a4/a6 eibach springs to passat b5.5?
Tried a search but to no avail, Anyone know what model a4's or a6's suspension springs fit to a b5.5 passat? A search on google says that the b5.5 passat uses a mix of a4/6 suspension, but i'm still unclear as to what will fit exactly. The reason i ask is, i have an eibach pro kit on my passat, but ...

Re: 180bhp vs 160 remap?
my car just has a generic map, think it was called upsolute but it was copied across from an ecu i bought off of here. It goes ok, but i would say it feels quite flat between 2-3k i would just be looking at something like the generic blacksmoke 180 maps similar to what they do for golfs etc i did ru...

180bhp vs 160 remap?
My car has quite smooth 160bhp remap on it and has done for quite some time. Car is a 130avf 6 speed.
My question is, is there a big difference between the two maps?
has anyone ran 180 on these for long periods? how was it for clutch, turbo etc?
thanks

Re: Auto hold not working, clutch position sensor?***SOLVED***
Not sure how it's related, but mice had eaten through the reverse switch cable (noticed reverse lights were not working) repaired this and now the auto hold functions again

Auto hold not working, clutch position sensor?***SOLVED***
2008 2.0tdi, auto hold function has all of a sudden stopped working. Using the diagnostics laptop can see that the switch still works when depressed, however the led does not light up. Is there any common issues with the auto hold function? Noticed that the clutch position sensor reads ‘33’ when not...

Re: Glow plugs not staying on for more than a second
What I did notice the other week, not sure if it is related, but on a cold start the car would fire straight up after the glow plug light had stayed on for a good 6 secs or so, but it would rev up a little and stay at a bit of a higher isle than usual, roughly 1200rpm, it had never done this before ...

Re: Glow plugs not staying on for more than a second
Forgot to add, car is finding it harder to start now, so the glow plugs definitely aren’t staying on for long enough,

Glow plugs not staying on for more than a second
They have been up until the last week staying on for a good duration making for a good cold start, now all of a sudden the glow plug light barely stays on even from cold at 0degrees C. What could be causing this? Is it the cts? This appears to be registering correctly on the dash and climatronic dia...

Re: Need help getting PR codes for golf mkV
Ok I’ve had a look, managed to pull the old code and put it in to new one, still a couple of fault codes, thinking these will be sorted out by driving the car and basic settings sorted out. The new module has the same part number 1ko 614 517 except the old one has ‘m’ at the end and new one ‘h’ woul...

Oh ok thanks, what is BTDT? I’ve only got a cheap eBay vcds cable which doesn’t do a lot. I’m using a Delphi style diagnostic and coding programme

Re: Need help getting PR codes for golf mkV
Hi sorry, basically my dad has changed the abs pump and since fitting, the car has multiple fault codes pointing to the unit needing coding. Looked on Ross tech which says to carry out the programming you need the pr codes listed on the sticker in the boot or service manual. Unfortunately the boot s...

2.0 tdi low mpg economy
thought i had resolved this issue by cleaning up the turbo actuator however still getting bad economy. Only manage to get around 42mpg.
Are there any obvious things i can look at that can cause this issue? thanks

air con pump noisy/squeaky
My air con pump is noisy, believe its the bearings, no noise from it when selected to economy as its not turning, so i assume the electro 'clutch' isn't at fault. Has anyone ever changed the bearings on their pump? thanks

Re: diy aux in issues- poor sound quality and very quiet
oh right, do you have a link for the other socket and the dac? thanks The socket linked to in the original post is very small and as such very sensetive to over heating on the soldering front. Basically the plastic casing can melt, esp if you solder like me  Anyway, because I'm a cheap charli...
