I had the same issue, the joint has worn out and it's basically knackered now, you can buy one second hand or a new one is about £35 from vw, I got a new one as it'll last another 10 years, be patient with getting the old one off though as it will be stuck fast and put copper slip on the shaft to ...

Is the tension knackered? If so pull arm up and back down again. The spring can seize up so needs stretching every now and then. :) yeah the tension is bit funny- spring seems to be seized, tried to pull it but im worried it will break, did lube it a bit but no difference, :roll: i want to try ever...

my heat shield on exhaust is rattling and does my headache :mad: is it just matter of tightening bolts or ....? cheers

Thanks for the reply guys, What sort of brand of pannel filter do i need? or would it be better if i stick with the oem filter and drill a few holes for more roar??? Does anyone know where to drill in the airbox and how may holes? if possible have any picture to give me an idea?? mann filter is oem...
