Hey ive had my b5.5 passat for a while now and it's not without it's small problems. However I do love the car but 1 thing really bugs me is the poor headlights, with halogens, see nothing, 35w hid's not great, 55w hid's are slightly better. They are projectors lights. Well I see im not alone on this one then lol. Mine is just serviced about 2-3 weeks, all filters and oils changed. The glow plugs mat be damaged/not working but would that not mean it would be hard to start? i mean first turn and its started no problem.

I dont know whats wrong with mine but im getting 30mpg on my 1.9 130pd If i go on long journeys it might go up to 36, but if you go by the at the time reading, if you accelerate even slightly, i get about 19mpg. Something seriously wrong but dont know where to start.

I thought mine was from the polen filter to but it wasn't. It had the same problem as my blastid Toledo. Leaking through the door seals. All better now though.

Ive the new MOT requirements in front of me here and its basically says if the car is missing a catalytic converter it will fail. Doesnt mention diesel or petrol however. This is an NI MOT to btw if that makes any difference.

Have you seen the MOT centers in Northern Ireland? lol they would check each tyre they are that thran. Safest bet I think will be the 16's not sure about their ramps though, the final one is quite big. Thanks for the help anyhow guys.

Hey guys, quick question, hope someone can help. The motor is up for MOT at the start of next month and I see new regulations are in. One I see is tyre pressure, Im running 18" RS8's does anyone know what the proper pressure is for a passat? Its a 130 SE if that makes any difference. Of course ...
