Reversing lights always on...HELP

As the title says, my reversing lights are on constantly. It's only happened in the last hour when I drove back from rehearsal. Car is a 2003 B5.5 sport estate. Any ideas?

Ariel.

Car is a B5.5 2003 sport estate. Been thinking about replacing the ariel for a while now as the rubber grommet is gone & as I carry ladders on top a lot, I could do with a smaller one. Do any of the shark fin style ones from new VWs fit? Are they a straight swap? I'm not looking to gain anymore ...

Broken air vent replacement.

Looked in the how to section & used the search but to no avail.. Car is a 2003 Sport estate. One of the blades that opens & closes the central double air vent is broken. Looks as though the plastic has snapped so I think I'll need a new unit. Has anyone got one for sale? I haven't got time t...

Sounds good to me. Figured I may as we'll replace all the bulbs while I'm doing it! Are the high beams H7's?

Re: HID users..

So I'll be getting a 4300k kit with dipped beam bulbs. And I'll get some of those Philips Blue Vision 501 sidelights. But what high beam lights should I get? Any recommendations?

Re: HID users..

Those are the ones. When I had my B5.5, I tried all sorts of LEDs. In the end, ran with no parking light bulbs at all, as nothing looked right. I bought a set of Nightbreakers for main beam and they came with a free set of Blue Vision 501's. I gave them a try and was very impressed. Sounds good. I'...

They fill the reflector with a crisp white light, rather than the blue dot that LED's give you.

How does this kit look? I'd go for the 4300k I reckon to keep it OEM looking.
Also, has anyone had any bad experiences with the kits?

Re: It my engine a pd ?

I'm on Castrol Edge 5W30 which is the 507.00 spec. Car is serviced every 10k so falls much shorter of the long life service of 30k/24month. But personally, if there's a higher spec oil which te 507.00 is, why wouldn't I use it? It's all personal choice but I wouldn't run anything but the best I can ...

Not sure on weight but I had 4x Lagos 17" alloys without tyres picked up & delivered for £47. Search online & you'll be asked size of package & approx weight. Some good deals to be had.

If I'm gonna be paying someone to do work to the suspension I may as we'll replace the lot & have done with it. I've spared no expense on it before and don't plan to start now. http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performance/suspension-kits/car/volkswagen/passat-00-05/2003/1-9td-130/eibach-b12-pro-kit...

Are they worth £600 odd? Or am I better to just replace the faulty shocks? I've never messed with suspension before, so I'm new to it all!

If I'm going to have to replace them, I'd like something of equal or higher quality. And if I've gotta do it I might as well try & make it ride better. I have looked at the -30mm Bilstein kit with springs & shocks. Can anyone vouch for them? And where's the cheapest place I can get them? Che...

Shock absorbers.

So just got the 1.9TDI Sport wagon back from the service today. My mechanic has mentioned that both front shocks are leaking. How much am I looking to spend on replacements? Should I bite the bullet & get new springs & shocks & lower -30mm? Thoughts?
