If I remember right you will still get a warning for lamp out even with cold diagnostics off. Cold diagnostics check all of the lights before you turn them on, but they are still checked again once turned on, so you still get the error.
Think you will be needing a load resistor for them.

Re: Howie's B6 Estate
I have coming/leaving home on mine with out the auto switch, the coming home works if you leave your head light switch in the 'on' position when you leave the car. The other setting I had to change was from "coming/leaving home via light sensor" to "via adaptation" can't remember...

Roads that are wide enough to easily get 3 car through (as well as 2 tanks, a bus & 3 lorries) & yet when a car is parked on your side of the road, you continue around it & the person coming the other way decides to slam the anchors on & start flapping around like an idiot because th...

I've not had a problem so far, they only remain on for about 10 seconds after you lock the car (you can alter the time)

Yeah activate the coming/leaving home function
Then,
The leaving home function always works
The coming home function works when the lights are left switched on

Re: Drl question
You don't need auto headlights, I've turned on the feature on mine (with out auto lights)
The lights always come on when you unlock
When you lock the car they will only stay on if the head light switch is left in the on position when you leave the car

What with the engine replacement & that it completely slipped my mind! Came across it under the fish tank the other day, shall have to get out, remove some trim & wire it in neatly
Used it once or twice with just the suction cup mount & have been impressed so far.

Am I just failing at life... Or being special? I can't get my rear number plate off!! It's bolted on with two 'enclosed' nuts on the inside of the tail gate, I assume they have just rusted/corroded but no amount of penetrating fluid it getting them to part ways! Any ideas or is it time to cut them o...

Re: Air vents not working
If you have the manual aircon like it sounds, the cable has probably just come out of the mechanism either in the back of the panel or the dash, fairly simple to plug back in if you unbolt the centre console (armrest/drinks holder bit)
