Re: My B8 GT Review
Just as FordCorsair said above after 11 1/2 years I too moved on from a 2002 TDi Sport to a 2015 GT 190scr and felt initially that the old car was a far better drive and more economical than the new one, it's only now a year on that I'm fully appreciative of the benefits of the newer car

Re: Service schedule
Personally I'd be changing it around 80K or 5 years, but on the other hand a guy I know has a 2004 Mk5 Golf 1.9 Tdi Golf with 85K on it which has never had the belt changed, in the old days they said the belt lasted the life of the engine, 1979 Scirocco Gli lasted 175k before it broke!!!!

Any way to remove radar from Cruise control?
I am finding it unnerving that when using cruise control that if the car in front goes down a slip road my car feels as if I have stood on the brakes, does anyone know a way to remove the radar element so the cruise operates like it did om my 2002 B5.5?

Re: 2002 AVF no go
Have got it going, used an old injector loom and bulbs to check for a signal to the injectors which wa there, gave it a shift of brake cleaner and it kicked, put on a new fuel filter but still nothing, changed tandem pump still nothing. My first thought had been the crank sensor as that is basically...

Re: 2002 AVF no go
I didn't have any brake cleaner to hand when I looked over it but tried it with some WD 40 and nothing happened, going to tow it to work and go through it on Sat, will try brake cleaner then, hoping it's something simple like a plug not fully clicked home in Ecu box, been a good car, spent less on i...

You should wind the piston all the way into the caliper then wind it out at least a half turn to reset the handbrake mechanism then pump the brake pedal before you apply the handbrake

Re: Front upright upper pinch bolt
You do realise that you can take the spring & shock off on its own without touching anything else? Look in the engine bay close to where the 3 bolts are that you remove the take off the top mounting, close by there are 2 gromets which cover the nuts which attach the shock to the top plate, remov...

Thats exactly the same as my car did, it was head gasket, unexplained coolant loss, temp gauge shooting up when engine worked hard, also when going up a long hill on light load the heater would go cold
