Re: REMOTE WINDOWS?

Hmmm, dunno, and if motodiag wont let you switch comm to match the one VCDS uses.

I guess £6.95 for a "dumb" chinese special might be the simplest way.

Re: REMOTE WINDOWS?

Check which com port moto diag is trying to use, was 8 on mine. you should be able to switch it to the one you installed vcds on to. If not try : go to Devices and printers, select your comm lead/usb serial connector or however it is labelled, and manually change the com port through change settings...

Re: REMOTE WINDOWS?

Having said that I do notice the staus underneath the comm number is only displaying --- it doesn't say ok or anything,
but surely vcds would not detect the codes on scan if there was a comm issue?

Yea, I changed m plugs at service and got awful misfire and Em light, my coils were swapped shorty after under recall and now ok.

Contact local dealer, it takes em 2 minutes to check if it needs doing. then it's a full set of coils FOC :D

Re: REMOTE WINDOWS?

I think it is Norton 360 removing it before I can access it and get the code to request an activation code, it alerts my software abd all shortcuts and links to the program are labeld as out of date or removed.
I'll put it to sleep whilst I install andsee if it works.

Re: Wing mirrors operate independently?

Ta, I'm not moaning or heralding a new innovation, I just don't remember in all the time I owned the car it doing it before.

I guess it's because I always alter the O/S 1st and then tweak the N/S so never noticed it either that or i have lost my mind :-?

Wing mirrors operate independently?

I am sure my wing mirrors used to operate independently, now it seems my passenger one is tied to my drivers side, is this the default setting or is there some trick to get them to operate separately again?

Re: paint 12year warranty

It depends, they are now saying that the wings caused by the foam insulation rubbing are down to a manufacturing defect = 10 years rust is rust but they seem to be getting their way..

Tailgate and such should be no quibble I guess.
