you really should not be getting any chatter, and hardly any tish (if you have a normal set up)
the only way for it to chatter would be the vac line has split to the 'dump valve',
the std turbo is not designed to 'stall' and will eat its self in no time!

ok then heres a good one for you,
after a year of ownership, and even taking the engine out, iv just noticed i dont have a main rad fan,
only the little electric air con one,
its never ever heated, now iv changed the thermostat, she still sits at 90 degrees even in traffic,
should i be worried ...

well im going to nip out out grab some black duck tape first, just the 25mm wide stuff, and seal over the roof for a week, see if it stops

nope not solved it,
new seals all round, sunroof drains are clear,
im tempted just to seal around the entire sunroof and pull the fuse now

sensor now fitted
my god car now feels epic, boosts up to 35psi, fuels perfect, but temp gauge when moving sits just above the cold mark, when stopped in traffic, climbs to half way, then slowly falls back to just above cold when moving again, but heaters are still fine,

got a sensor from VW today,

well after taking it to VWmidlands last year for a service, they told me i needed a new sensor,
gauge is constantly cold, apart from when i stop when it goes to normal half way, pull away it goes back down,
so i think its time for a new one, maybe ill get better mpg as its thinking its cold all the ...
