Well took the car to VW and they confirmed the turbo actuator f@cked so I am now £305 lighter but the cars now running like a dream....so I'm a happy chappy.

Took the car to a VW specialist he confirmed the diaphragm was the cause and he couldn't fix it as a special tool is required plus the new part needs calibrating on the computer????? so £60 lighter the car is waiting to go into VW cost £305 ffs.....
