Come and get the parts as they are free. They will come in a big box. Is no one intetested? There must be a few people who still have a B4 and need parts?

I have windows, temp regulators and other parts in a big box and no longer have a B4. If anyone wants them thry can have them for free. I know there are only a handful of B4's left so might come in handy. I'm located in Windsor. Let me know of there is any interest as if not will bin them or put it ...

Oh that is great news so I don't have to look for a torx bit...I would guess the size will be a 13mm...will have a look tomorrow and swap the tailgates...I noticed that the wiring is quite complicated as took the back of the new tailgate off to have a look...think it will easier to splice the wires ...

Anyone know how to remove the hinges from the tailgate itself?Is it just 13mm bolts holding it on just like to the car frame itself?Or is it a Torx screw and if anyone knows the size of it?

i think all the companies use it as a claim...if it is just a repair then it is on your record, but wont count...trust me if the police stop and give you a warning the insurance company knows...it is not worth me putting in a claim tbh....anyway got the tailgate ready and will have a look at the hin...

I've got a spare tailgate, it is just missing the hinges so will look at the one one the car. The tailgate is complete, even has a key so just need to remove the hinges from the one on the car and attach this one...insurance company said it will count as a claim so no point claiming really...will ju...

I recently swapped a mk3 golf hatch tailgate over which was pretty straightforward tbh..just broke the vacuum hose thingy... the passat tailgate I have is not complete...the hinges are missing and the wiring has been cut near the protective hose...

you are correct...it is for the reversing lights..the other plug I'm not so sure about...funny how the golf does not have these plugs in automatic..but the passat does...if your car does not start...then look at these plugs as well...

Seen video for brake line replacement. Looks like you can use brake line with connectors? Cut the ood line out? Doesn't look like too bad of a job..

Yeah Roger mine has wiring in the spare wheel well and where the central locking pump is. I cleaned and dried these areas out along with the cubby areas in the secret compartments at the back near the bootlid and dried out the electrics...no problems with ABS light since. Found ABS ECU...if I unplug this (how do I do that) and plug in the omenI got will it not damage the original settings? Plus there appears to be some sort of plug going off to the side of it.what is that??Put theplstics all back...almost ready for mot
