Re: COIL PACK FAILURES ON THE 4 CYLINDER ENGINES
I had one fail too, on my 1.6l petrol 2006 model. They changed them all and haven't had any problems with them since, that was 3 years ago. Didn't know they had a recall on them, 'cause I had to pay for it. Guess the recall didn't count for Norway.

Door misaligned - leaking water. How to adjust?
So, after having rust removed from my front passenger door by the dealer last year it turns out they didn't put the door back on right. Afterwards it never closed quite right, and i observed that it wasn't quite aligned, but stupid me thought it was just cosmetic. Turns out the door now leaks water ...

Re: Cabin 'diesel' smell when staionary!
I know this is unlikely, but if you have Webasto, or Eberspracher installed the exhaust from this comes out somewhere near one of the front wheel arches. If it is running and you stop, the exhaust will drift around under the car and most of the time some of it will also get sucked into the car along...

Re: Water leak in rear of wagon
Yeah, the aerial does have a really bad cracking in it, I tried to seal it up with some sealant a while back, but it's all cracked too now. Is it an easy job to swap it?

Water leak in rear of wagon
So I'm really not sure where the leak in the picture is coming from. B5.5 2003. 2012-09-24-14.24.13_shrunk.jpg Is it coming from the antenna, is it coming from the door or is it from somewhere else? It must be coming from above, and i don't see any obvious signs of leaks on the ceiling. The rubber s...

I'd suggest checking out the I.C.E. section here viewforum.php?f=32
I haven't had the need to upgrade my speakers yet, are you doing it because they broken or just not up to your specs?

Re: RCD510 vs RNS510
RCD does not play DVD. I've got the rcd in mine, and it's a great unit. Perhaps a bit slow when loading root from SD-card, but pretty fast once you get off root. That's from a 16GB card and not the fastest one around either, might just be the card. The sound quality is quite good, but I wish it had ...

Re: does my tubo sound normal?
Would one see errors in the logs if the bearings were off? I have no errors from my engine whatsoever. Also some people suggest the whine is from an air leak. This really is hard to diagnose..tmstp wrote:Hearing turbo bearings is not normal, it should be quiet. All you should hear is air whistle

Not that i'm an expert, but looks like it started boosting at around 2k rpm? What engine is it? 1.9 or 2.0? Mine seems to start boosting at 3k rpm, and I could swear it started at 2k rpm before..? What's normal, because mine makes a louder noise than that..?

Re: Possible Future Recall for EGR
I was a bit uncertain as to what the fault actually was? Is your fault with the EGR a completely different one from what everyone else is getting? It seems everyone has problems with EGR, but never heard of the glowplug failing because of it.. So my EGR is leaking oil and the dealer said i have to g...

Re: 2 faultcodes for Webasto
Yeah, i'm borrowing the full version from a friend, so it can do it no problem. Just that I'm not sure how to do it. I'll borrow it on wednesday and check if i can reset by going into the module. Maybe they'll all be gone anyway.

Thanks for the help! So you have to go into the module, and not do it from the automatic scan menu? Sorry, kinda new at this.

Not bad! It seems the black paint is especially easy to damage, but it does look awesome. For that price i'd do it too! Too bad it's way more expensive over here. Was it easy for them to match up the shades to the surroundings?

On the other hand..it could be the sensors reacting to something. Could be he used cheapo oil? Seems strange the light would suddenly come on? Unless he forgot to reset it back when he did it, and he was doing it early because he was going to sell it.

Sounds exactly the same problem as I had. Got a new switch off eBay and problem went away. 2 minute job to fit? I hope it's that simple for you. I had the same problem, did a readout and it was: 02443 - Control Head 008 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent 02443 - Control Head 012 - Electrical Fault in Circuit - Intermittent Ross tech says it's the switch, called the stealers and they had 3 in stock. didn't even have to specify which car it w...

Re: Weird problem! passenger door!
I had the same problem on my '02 wagon when i bought it in 2006. It was a microswitch in the door mechanism, like described previously in this thread. None of the other doors have failed yet, and the switch hasn't needed replacement after that. Not a common fault on newer versions of switch i guess.

Re: Rain sensitive wipers???
It doesn't wipe strait away because it can't see the drops that are already there, only new ones. Once you start driving and one of the rain drops moves it will spot it and wipe, otherwise you have to prompt it. Most rain sensing systems have the same problem. Thanks for the info! Good to know. I a...

Re: Rain sensitive wipers???
Mine are quite good too! The first time after the car starts is always slow though, it seems it doesn't check when it starts up, it just checks after several minutes. So i always have to move the slider on the stalk to get it to trigger. Very annoying, as I feel it should do that itself. But once it...

Re: Replaced both H.I.D bulbs but with a problem :( (Pics)
Iv changed ballasts and bulbs and still same problem I'm guessing it can only be the projector in the headlamp That environment is not the right temperature for mold. It gets way too hot in there for mold to grow. It could be deposits from the cheap bulbs that have been used, some chemicals reactin...

Re: O/S bulb is about to blow...(H.I.D)
Are the bulbs D1S or D2S? Nither, yours are H7 as you have standard headlights. It's OEM bi-xenons that are D2S The OEM Bi-xenons on B6 are D1S, not D2S. I got the new bulbs from osram, XENARC SILVERSTAR D1S from powerbulbs. Man did i notice the difference, they're bright! They're costly, but it's ...
