Re: Alarm fault since flat battery

Hi all, I've recharged the battery on Friday night, it was reading 13V with engine off and 14.4V with engine running. Did a 150 mile round trip yesterday but didn't set the alarm however today I tried it and it set OK initially but after half an hour off it went again, it now goes off straight away ...

Re: Alarm fault since flat battery

I would say the battery has probably gone duff. If a cell has gone down then it will provide some current but not enough to start an engine. It shouldn't have gone flat doing what you were doing. The alarm will go off if the battery is disconnected and if the voltage is low it could still be the ...

Re: PASSAT STOLEN FROM BIRMINGHAM

Hi Everyone

My Mrs's black Passat 55 plate has been stolen from outside of our house on Sunday Morning :((

No one broken into the house or no broken glass on the drive, so its seems like its been lifted onto a truck.

We were out that evening & came late, so we have no idea what happened ...

Re: Coolant Level Dropping but no Leak?! 1.9TDI B5

I cannot see how K-seal will work, in your case, if water was getting into the oil then it would have a chance of working, plus you could get the sniff test done for not much more, then you'll know once and for all

I can confirm it didn't work for me, no water in oil but coolant loss when ...

Re: Lack of power

Got it sorted at last, Map sensor all along, which is what you guy's said, and what I relayed to the mechanic on Wednesday , but he ignored that and focused on the N75's, and Maf then when they didn't work said he didn't know, so I was left 120 quid lighter and still driving round in limp mode ...

According to ETKA part number is 3b9 827 505 E which comes up with the following auction on E-bay. You can see the connection for the microswitch on the top left corner. You could prove the circuit by pulling the plug off and shorting the pins. This should put the boot light on.

Changed top and bottom seals at the weekend but it could be the seal on the engine side of the top hose, I removed the entire top hose to replace the seal at the IC end, are there more seals in the IC top pipes?

MAF can cause this. mass air-flow sensor. its bolted to the airbox and has a large multi-plug on it

howey

Would that be the same for a 1.9TDi Howey? Noticed mine needs a bit more right foot recently to move it along before the turbo kicks in and mpg has dropped to 36 around town. Can the MAF be ...

It is based on the trend of 'drift charms', found on lots of Japanese drift cars. I sported one on one of my other cars and posted a few pics on another forum, and then got a total slagging from one member for not being a drifter and not understanding the significants of what they are ...
