Re: Heated seats
You will need to add wiring from driver side to fuse, to CECM, to the control panel and to the passenger seat and possibly a ground connection on both seats depending on the year of the car and the seats. Fairly easy if you have diagrams and you are familiar with electrics. Sent from my iPhone using...

Re: Clock Upgrade
Hahaha thanks, Controls work as long as you stick to OEM radio. I had RNS510 and that worked well but the last one is Discover Media from 2015 Scirocco and works as well (however radio is not a straight fit). I might be able to point you in the right direction for colour clocks, PM me if interested....

Re: Clock Upgrade
Clocks + adapter + gateway (minimum version E), SW with controls but a later style like passat B7 or golf mk6 as it has to use same communication protocol, wheel will require to replace the module, airbag wiring and the airbag itself (obviously as different shape). Re: new instrument cluster some errors
Yes unfortunately I’m not in UK at the moment. But you can buy version E on eBay and switch them over. Coding is done by ticking the same options as on the old gateway. So first go through all the coding and do some screenshots so you got all the info then fit new gateway and tick all the needed box...

Re: new instrument cluster some errors
Oh and one more thing which is most likely your problem- I don’t know why I didn’t thought about it before.
The canbus gateway needs to be at least version E (part number ending with E).
If your car is 07 then it will most likely be C - check it with VCDS.

Re: new instrument cluster some errors
Did you change connector or did you use adapter? If adapter then where from?
It looks like car can’t communicate properly with the cluster so a bad connection or wrong wiring for canbus.

Re: Estate tailgate
No saloon bumper is totally different then estate.
Motors for electric tailgate are fixed to the roof. If I remember well I had some pics in my build thread but who knows if they are still there as photo bucket introduced some silly limits.

Re: Instrument Cluster / Clocks Swap + MFSW Retrofit
Radio and clocks are using newer communication systems and 8 button wheel is the older type so they can’t communicate properly. 12 button would be a better idea.

Re: Instrument Cluster / Clocks Swap + MFSW Retrofit
When I say 100km I mean 100 kilometres so like 60 miles.
Yes you can get some from eBay but add mileage correction + activation of the things like staging and £120 will make sense instead of random set.

Re: Instrument Cluster / Clocks Swap + MFSW Retrofit
Straight swap but mileage requires special tools if the mileage is above 100 kilometres (if it is below it can be done with vcds). So you will have to find someone doing the mileage correction or use it as is. Another option is to buy a cluster with 0 miles - I know VWLEDS on facebook has some avail...

Re: Tailgate lock problem
I would say it is strange for the handle to interfere with the wiper. Did you check wiring for any issues? Are the connectors nice and clean on the wiring and the handle? Failing all you should be able to swap dead micro switch on your old handle with the new one? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: Tailgate lock problem
When you say lock do you mean the actual lock on the bottom of the tailgate or the button/handle to open it?
Which one of them has failed?

Re: EGR / THROTTLE
I would leave electric alone and start from cleaning EGR as it is most likely full of poo and not working properly.
Otherwise check the pipe/hose going to the EGR if it is loose it will loose pressure chance the kangaroo effect.

Re: Highline iPhone Won't Connect
Most likely you will need to change the Bluetooth module that is under the driver seat. Some of them are compatible with iPhone some are not.
Check what you have under the driver seat.

Re: Cluster change help
If you have problem with just the fuel gauge it might be the missing pin. But if there is a problem with outside temperature display then it is cluster that is faulty.

Look under passenger seat for amplifier - it should be under black cover.

Re: Cabin heat takes forever
Is it just the inside heater or are we taking about engine itself?
If inside only then I would expect blocked heater matrix or faulty temp sensor. Have you got any fault codes?

Re: Could be a broken spring?
I believe I'm on 4th suspension now and it is far from factory specification. I had standard, lowering springs, coliovers and now full DCC suspension from 2008 year car with harder and lower R36 springs. Coliovers were a total waist of time for me (trashy, loud and not pleasant at all), eibach sprin...
