Re: Should I drop my B6 Estate with Eibach springs?

Not quite. I am fitting DCC suspension as a next step but in two minds about using Eibach with it or stock springs.

Re: Should I drop my B6 Estate with Eibach springs?

I had them on my b6 estate. Comfort is the same as on standard springs, cornering is a lot nicer. Personally I found them a bit to low on the back when car is fully loaded. And when I say fully loaded I mean I pack it with all sorts off stuff up to the roof. They do go quite low when you have 5 peop...

Re: Factory Xenon's - Not that bright!

Try to compeer them to standard headlights on B6 and you will see the difference. I retrofitted xenons to mine and the difference is a day and night. I had hids in my old headlights and still difference is massive. Maybe your bulbs need replacing? Do they show any signs of going out? Like a slight t...

Re: Newer steering wheel

Lack off compatibility with B6 / B7. Only ones that somehow work are the ones without cruise control buttons. Buttons might work but won't light up but then it also depends which steering wheel module you have. I was thinking about giving it a go but the wheel itself ain't as nice (thick) as older M...

Re: Jarek's B6 Wagon - Skyline mod gone bad...

Oh dear that was ages ago and I can't quite remember how it was done.

I would guess there will be 4 catches on the sides (2 on each side) that need to be pressed with screwdriver or flat knife.

Re: Polar FIS issue?

I'm using a £40 ebay cable that recommends ver xx - should I stick with that or use 15.3? If you update that it will stop working at all. Those type of cable ain't very good for B6 as it needs more up to date labels to be able to code newer modules correctly. It might be ok for basic scans and lit...

Jarek's B6 Wagon - Skyline mod gone bad...

Few weeks ago while driving back from Poland I got faulty bulb warning on the dash. Strange thing was that it went away after I switched off fog lights. It came back again about 2 weeks ago but this time it was on and off few times on each trip. It turns out to be 4 faulty leds in my skyline mod :( ...

VCDS below. I think it got further on the first run but still came up with an comms error. I ran the options > test but it came back OK. Re: Jarek's B6 Wagon - Xenons fitted today!

LOL thanks! All mods you listed are the same for B6 and B7. Tailgate is possible as it was an option on B7. As far as I know all parts are the same just with higher letter at the end. If I remember well cost was around £350. Saying that most of parts were sourced as cheap as possible from Poland. W...

If you have dcc shocks I would say you will need to change them as well.
I'm pretty sure they won't work correctly with shorter springs.

Re: Brake upgrade options

What bhp are you running that you need an upgrade ? I think it is down to personal preferences - you don't need big BHP to like stopping more quickly and efficiently. Admittedly 90% people look at my car and first question is "what BHP are you running" "Bog standard" but they he...

2008 should have gateway E or later but best bet is to confirm via vcds or by removing.

Parts are available from eBay or breakers or vw. Take your pick ;)
