everything you have said in the first few points seems to me like a battery on its way out... what happens if you attach another battery to the car or try to jump start it?

just a heads up the owner of that car dealership has owned several other places that well shall we say sold cars that turned out to have a lot of problems. Also explains why he is after so much!

the only thing that worries me about those copies is that sat nav looks pritty poor... :( Why??? its all depends what soft you going to have, tom tom, garmin, igo .... !!! for example I have installed Igo Primo with newest 2011 maps for all europe and its got lane assistance , 3d buildings etc etc ...

most probably not working to there best shall we say... it wasn't failed enough to give a fault up and to be honest I only ever noticed when it was VERY cold outside IE -7 but thats what they said when it was serviced and three Glow plugs were replaced...

Just had mine serviced today and 3 of my glow plugs were down and the only sign I could tell was when it was really cold when it started it sounded a bit rough for 2 - 3 seconds... So might be worth pulling the glow plugs out and checking....

how many miles have you covered in the time since the last oil change/top up to now? These engines are refered to as oil burners for a reason It is perfectly fine to use a bit of oil in 5k miles... But if yours is doing it within a week that sounds a little extream...

maybe glow plugs? If one isn't working correctly then it wont run smoothly for a few moments after starting in cold weather?

Centre Console Draws
Anyone know if you can get different front draw panels colours for the centre console draws? I've only seen them in silver and ideally I need a darker colour shall we say as I purchased one from ebay that was silver.. any help most welcome

Ok here we go ....! Took out extended warranty (Warranty Direct - £300) last year & have just had to claim for rear-caliper drive motor (£402 fitted) on my 2006 (48k miles) Passat. I use my local dealer these day 'cos they do a great job for a reasonable price (Sinclair, Bridgend in S. Wales)...

hmm that doesn't sound like an insurance company much ;)
Just like all other insurances make sure you read the T's and C's carefully and find out what IS and IS NOT covered get them to put it in an email or letter that way your covered!

Just took out my Warranty Direct cover on my B6 and don't take the price they say on the website as if you leave it a day or two they will call you back with a special "Discount Price" I ended up paying £315 for there top cover when first quoted £460.. I mainly took it out for peace of m...
