Just a note. Castrol Edge 5W40 Oil only £8.98 a Litre from Wilkinson's Stores.
Thought it wasn't a bad price. Always handy to keep a litre in the car..

I also have this noise, 2.0 TDI 140 full vw service history and have been told that it is the Turbo and that i dont need to worry about it. A lot of cars last years before needing a new turbo and if and when they do go they dont tend to cause any more damage than the knackerd turbo. Mine drives ...

I have brought a little box of tricks of eBay connects straight to battery then gives you two cables. To connect your drls to .
Also another wire that you connect to the lights when the ignition comes on the drls come on! When you put on the main beam they go off great ...

Hi BigV . mines a 2.0TDi 140, 5 year old and with 60,000 on clock. Ive just had mine done inc water pump for £275inc vat at Awesome GTI Manchester. Not sure where you are but they a good outfit.
