Adaptive headlight issue

My offside adaptive headlight has started cutting out on main beam at one particular point when moving but is fine at all other positions. Sounds to me like some sort of bad connection between the fixed and moving part of the unit, does anyone know how this works so I can look at repairing it or has...

Re: Starting on second go

I had the fuel pump replaced last week so it could be that, does the air not automatically pump through?

Re: Starting on second go

It's the 170 diesel, I always let the glow plugs preheat so I don't think that's the issue

Re: Boot rust issue VW aware!!

I only have version 8 which I downloaded from this thread but my contact in VAG told me that version 11 was released on 30th April which was confirmed by my local dealer. It's a repair that they are offering I think.

Re: Boot rust issue VW aware!!

Just been offered 50% on the repair and refused, what's the next step? Does anyone have number for customer care? VW Customer "Care" in Milton Keynes is on: 0800 083 3920. Try another main dealer paintshop? Published terms of the 12-year anti-corrosion warranty are back in this thread som...

Re: Key fob not working

Thanks for that I will try swapping the battery later. Just concerned that the fob appears to be flashing correctly the same as my other new working one which makes me think it's actually working OK and there is another problem?

Blown bulb again

My Bi Xenon bulb has blown again after only a week, could this be down to the control unit on the back of the headlight unit?

headlight issue

I looks like it is the tandem pump gasket, the lower bolt may of been cross threaded. Would really like to know if the was removed when the injectors were replaced?

Would the tandem fuel pump be touched when they changed the injectors?
It also turns out that they did not change the loom, is that an issue?

Smoke and diesel smell

Just wondered it anyone else has come across the following issue? After a 'lively' trip up the M5 I came to a stop at a junction and a few wisps of smoke came from under the bonnet. The same happened when I stopped the car, popped the hood but no clue as to where it was coming from. I took it to my ...

Re: Full MFD?

The display is the part of the clocks. you cannot just change it. you will need all unit. Oh right! That sounds even more expensive! What am I looking at paying? I paid £85 for my clocks and £70 for mileage correction. One thing though is you need to check whether they are from a car with a MFSW ...
