Just wanted to say thanks. The cable hook had come off the back of the handle. All sorted now though :)

Hi guys. Was hoping someone could help. This morning I went to fill up with fuel and pulled the door lever to get out the car. I felt a little resistance but then it suddenly became loose. Its just been done, got a phone call to say it was all happy. They found lots of things on the complimentary health check that they want lots of money from me to rectify but ill get a second opinion from my (Honest) local repair man.

We just got a letter today from VW/VOSA regarding the injectors and asking us to come in and have it sorted. If anyone wants the details ill scan it into the machine but stated there is a known problem. Ive booked mine in for next week to have them replaced under this communication. Anyone else get ...

No word of a lie I was telling a mechanically minded passenger in my car on the way down to football when we passed another lad ont he way whod brokedn down, exactly the same model Passat. Im hoping I have the same joy tomorrow, personally I think £70 for peace or mind isnt that bad. I have a 1 and 5 year old that get carted about everywhere in this car so obvioulsy im wanting reassurance. Fingers crossed...

Cheers for the help fellas, I will look tonight when I get in. Basically I just wanted to reduce the risk of spending the money on nothing. Least that way ill get the £70 refund. Will take a treck up to the dealers after work.

Afternoon lads, can some aswsome person detail how I can whip 1 of the injectors in my Passat to see if its the Siemens jobbies? Basically my local stealers want to take £75 to put it on the diagnostic. I will get this refunded IF the injectors are the dodgey Siemens batch. Ive got the 2 numbers ...

Just been onto VWCS and theyve given me a reference number. I'll make a trip up to the dealers at some point today to get booked in on their instruction. Can anyone confirm on average how long the car would usualy be out of action for if there at the very least competent?

Im in the same boat mate, ours was £700 to renew, just done a 'Comparison' jobbie and evern the lowest untrusted companies are still £380. Swiftcover weighed in at £404, looks like the winner :-o
