when i get chance, i'll pop it to the local auto spark to let him have a looksie to see if anything can be done, my idea was to disconnect the rear one completley and run a new fused circuit independent of all else on the car, direct to the battery.
big q tho, would this affect the canbus?

had a look on passatworld as well as here, quite a few bods have done this without having to resort to VagCom to turn them on, you can get a part loom from a distributor in germany (Kufatec) or one from USA that allows for a retro fit without the need to activate VagCom. will look into this further ...

whats the tell tale to know its faulty?

mine started missing today on startup, only for about 6-7 seconds but enough to worry me!
its a 2008 2.0 TDI CR140 with only 14.5k on the clock.

is there a way to covert the rear centre console 12V socket (cigarette lighter socket i suppose) from ignition switched to permant live? the kids have a DVD system in the back which uses the socket and its a complete pain that it turns off everytime i stop the engine, which means i have to start the...

ps, how do you release the headlight switch from the dash, the old technique dosnt seem to work on the B6?

has anyone else noticed the rather large appature in the rear of the drivers door card when you open it?
open up your door and look at the door card where it closes against the B pillar.

i have 30mm drop Eibach springs on mine, no probs with speed bumps at all. im also running 18" RS4 reps and they look great without compromising the ride. we quite often go on hols in the car, 4 up and fully loaded and ive never had a problem with the car bottoming out, the only thing that hits...

had it apart last night and checked everything for tight,
all ok.
no bolts or nuts replaced tho, except for the pinch bolt is new.

will check it all again now to be safe
