tdi heater plug help
can anyone help me im looking for the part no for the heater plugs for my car. its a 1998 passat 1.9tdi 110bhp
the engine code is AFN.
going to need a set of 4
so if anyone can recomend anywhere cheap.
been on ebay but i dont want to buy any untill i know the part no as theres page after page.

sorted the pollen filter ecu box and bonnet pull gromet i think the problem was the pollen filter as when i removed the housing both of the foam/sponge seals the were both frozen solid odviously holding water and when i looked down into the hole there was a shallow pool of water near the fan ect bit...

ive done that before. ill get it sealed tomorrow may as well do the lot while im on with it. pollen filter, ecu box and the door, i just wasent sure as the car i did before was wet all down the pasenger side. and had started to develop electrical problems. in the end i had to strip most of the wirer...

i own a b5 wagon in wv candy white (LB 9A) when i first got it i painted the back bumper used white primer and halfords tins it came out perfect colour match. but now, after an unfortunate incident i had to get a new wing . used all the same paint as before but its well out of shade more of a bright...

cold starter
passat tdi afn getting a pain to start first thing
starts fine once its warm ect.
checked heater plugs all fine
was thinking heater plug relay.
wud it still start if this was down?
seccond idea was oil, i know that thers oil out there for cold weather
does it make any differance?
any advice chaps...

nice car can you tell me how do you paint your headlights do you have a diy? i used hair dryer to heat up where they are sealed. to soften the putty then lever the lenses of gentley with a big flat screw driver. the inserts inside screw out, paint them screw them bak in.. use a good quality clear s...

i use auto glym bumper gel. it took a couple of goes, but once u get it there, u barely have to put any on after that.marshole82 wrote:How have you got your black trim so black? I use turtle wax stuff but it wears off after rain!

i had a problem with the sub, when i turn the bass up the sub rattles the hatch, easily solved with some stick on sponge pads. formed a seal arround the hatch its sounds better and has stopped the rattle. i got a a4 leather gaitor with chrome surround and some engine covers from scrap yard will post...

first update. i forgot to add engine upgrades so far its had home made EGR delete standard cat gutted out smoothed air box with pd 130 pipework pipercross pannel filter and ive just been given a cheeky frontmount, its off a renult van, it fits behind bumper spot on, its twice the size as the standar...

i did everything myself , appart from bolting the head back on,

cost me £320
and i striped and built it myself
had no problems since i had it done
quick tip. while its in bits, gut cat out and clean out inlet, makes loads of difference.

to be honest my budget is basicly around 3p lol
i would profer bolt on parts!
im not after pushing the car to its limits 150-170bhp would be perfect, liven it up a bit
