Is this sorted now? First thing I would of done is swap out the crank position sensor as that sounds like the issue what you described. It wouldn’t normally give a fault code on this sensor well not on many I have swapped out anyway.

Used black gutter sealant on my housing its like Tar but goes like flexible rubber worked a treat and still does 5 years on lol, my second water leak was the door panel seal as said before, my third leak was a split in the Ariel base and water would either come out the interior light or down one of ...

It will be oil pressure, mine come on doing 70mph on motorway and would go off when I backed off, it went to local indie they said it was passing the oil pressure test so I got them to replace the pick.... yes it was blocked and luckily I caught it in time. Don't take the risk get the sump off. mine...

If you are keeping it take them pathetic coils out smash them with a hammer! Get some 2.0T coils and adapters from PSI tuning, one the best mods I have done.

My NGK (BKR6E) copper plugs cost £1.95 each you can get them around £7 x4 inc free delivery on eBay, make sure you don't get BKR6E-11 as these are way over gapped.

Something is wrong mine will average 50+ mpg sat on cruise control at 70mph. Almost 400miles I can get on full tank.
It was averaging 25mpg town driving last week but just put new copper plugs in back up in the 30's mpg.

PCV systems will be blocked and perished in places I would start there, check temp gets to 90deg if not replace CTS/Thermostat. Take it for smoke test as 20v's like a air leak lol.

If the Mk7 is the same platform as golf/bora, if lowered to much you will rub the anti roll bar.

Contact Toonmania for the kit, you will also get the damper that also must be changed on 1.8t, saved me a few ££ and is a quality kit. Try AVS http://www.vwspares.co.uk/passat_3b3_cooling.php get a Kolbenschmidt water pump.

It's probably blocked pick up pipe in sump, my warning come on one day as I went over 70mph on the M5 dropped down to 60mph and it would turn off. I took it to my local indie they done oil pressure test and it passed engine sounded fine too, but decided to have them remove the sump and lucky I did t...

Fixed leak, passenger carpet slightly damp water seeping in just under door inner panel. Removed whole panel re-greased window mech, Siliconed up bottom of panel hopefully no more leaks.

Sunroof? Snip off the ends of drain tubes above front door hinges, also I had a leak from a crack in the Ariel base that caused water to run down the pillar when parked on our drive.

Got my indie Streetwise in Bristol to do the work just haven't got the time plus I wanted it oil pressure tested first make sure it wasn't the pump ect hopefully get another 100k out the old girl lol

It is a horrible job I did all mine not long ago trying to get the l shape breather back into the block was a headache also did the puck valve ect not sure if made a massive difference could hear the DV abut more tho.. About 1hp gained lol

Spray some lube under the spring plate that's where most will squeak from see if goes away, the OE springs sit on a rubber pad coilover springs sit on the adjuster that just sits on the spring plate.
