Re: Car stalls when driving

Is this sorted now? First thing I would of done is swap out the crank position sensor as that sounds like the issue what you described. It wouldn’t normally give a fault code on this sensor well not on many I have swapped out anyway.

My NGK (BKR6E) copper plugs cost £1.95 each you can get them around £7 x4 inc free delivery on eBay, make sure you don't get BKR6E-11 as these are way over gapped.

Something is wrong mine will average 50+ mpg sat on cruise control at 70mph. Almost 400miles I can get on full tank.
It was averaging 25mpg town driving last week but just put new copper plugs in back up in the 30's mpg.

PCV systems will be blocked and perished in places I would start there, check temp gets to 90deg if not replace CTS/Thermostat. Take it for smoke test as 20v's like a air leak lol.

Contact Toonmania for the kit, you will also get the damper that also must be changed on 1.8t, saved me a few ££ and is a quality kit. Try AVS http://www.vwspares.co.uk/passat_3b3_cooling.php get a Kolbenschmidt water pump.

Sunroof? Snip off the ends of drain tubes above front door hinges, also I had a leak from a crack in the Ariel base that caused water to run down the pillar when parked on our drive.

Spray some lube under the spring plate that's where most will squeak from see if goes away, the OE springs sit on a rubber pad coilover springs sit on the adjuster that just sits on the spring plate.
