Complete electrical failure

Hi, I need some help. My B6 (55 plate, Sport, 197'000 miles) is experiencing complete failure of the battery, it completely drains, unable to unlock remotely, even to the point where the clock stopped. This has happened numerous times now, its not the battery as replacing it has made no difference. ...

Re: Central locking Help needed

Hi, fuse no. 7 is only with B2's up to 1982 m.y., it is fuse no. 3 with younger cars such as yours (3rd from left in bottom row). Since you only write "packed up" it is not possible to give any hints. Does the central locking not operate at all? Then, after the fuse, I would try to look a...

Re: B6 Fuel pump plus other issues

Thanks for your concern but I trust the garage implicitly, they are a small garage in the countryside and their charges are very reasonable and I have used them for 20 years with no issues. I wish I had found them earlier as I have been done by a number of garages over the years. Their knowledge is ...

Hi I wonder whether any one can help as my mechanical knowledge is not very good, in fact it is virtually non-existent. I have a B6 Sport 2005 that I have had since 2008 and except for the usual issues with the injectors and Electronic Parking Brake it has been a very good car. Now at 182,000 miles ...

It's been in my ownership since it was new so it survived in the original state and not slammed, it was shipped on steel wheels but a few years ago managed to get the alloys from Germany and it will stay like it is as my daughter will take it on when I get to old.
