After some mk3 reading I can use the seat Cupar gearbox and clutch as its a cable one. Wiring loom sounds a pain tho hate electro poo lol but I know a good electrician who might do it cheap. Think I'm just after getting my car running well first cos mines been nothing but a head ache. Don't want 5 ...

2E conversion to 16v
Sorry guys if am asking what's already been done. But basically sick of trying to sort my running issues when it's only a 115bhp anyway. So question is how easy is the swap to 16v? What issues as regards to wiring loom drive shafts gearbox etc cheers

I've an 8v and it's doing me head in was thinking of 16v ing it would love a 1.8t can get a whole car for 600 ish remapped n all that

Is it an easy job? Read a few bits that say it just drops in but having done engine changes in the past I know doesn't work like that lol

Well it's not the guy I took it too gave it the once over said cat was blocked and throttle position sensor was gone. Had it fixed but still hesitates he says the lambda sensor is a cheap one and disconnected it he said ecu should learn to run without it, but being the way I am I'm not happy ill ...

Well for everyone following my very slow thread cars being dignosed. The throttle position sensor is gone and a blocked cat. Getting replacement sensor £49 and the cat insides gutted
£75 all in woo hoo can now save n focus on wheels n coilies

Could be worse my 2.0gl is doing 24 mpg at no and can't seem to work out why it is lol. Bought a fault computer due soon so that hopefully pin point the prob but thinking O2 sensor and the cat at fault not cheap by any means

Well cars booked in for a full diagnostics got sick of reading this n that told this n that. Just costing me £25 and then al know exactly what's going on
only prob is a have to wait till the 27th but ah well

ok a lil update so far as stated before i have the problem where my car feels like its not getting enough fuel and hesitates under heavy load. I have spent a small fortune replaceing bits that have had no decent effect really AFM replaced with a second hand meter and it stopped the cutting out at ...
