Re: Multi Function Wheel - Can it be retro fitted
Cheers for that, just need to find the hardest bit now and thats the bloody wheel and airbag
If you have the cruise on the wheel do you still need the stalk with the cruise control on as well ?

Best Place to Find..... A MFSW & Airbag ???
I am about to buy a highline saloon which does not have the very desirable Cruise Control and MFSW option, but i know a firm who will fit them.
The cost though of the MFSW is just too much...... but it is possible if i can source one, anybody point me in the right direction ?

Re: Can a twin electric towbar damage the passat ?
ive got towbar on mine, use it with 500kg trailer quite often and car trailer every few months, the dmf and clutch were still good at 170k when changed ps if you remove the bar you will need a replacement metal crash bar Exactly, i spoke with a '' towbar man '' today and he said the same, he said i...

Re: Can a twin electric towbar damage the passat ?
The car is a 53 plate and is a 2.0 130 petrol engine, it has done 37,000 miles and i suspect that only one of the two previous owners has fitted the bar and towed anything with it.

Best place to find a nice 2005 Trendline or Eqiv
I have been to see a few '' mint '' cars of late and have come to conclusion that a great number of owners are clinically blind :( Can anybody point me in the direction of a good place to find nice examples ? I do (of course) look on autotrader as standard, ebay is a little like fantasy land when it...

I have seen a trendline for sale but the owner says he fitted a vw cd player in the front because when he got it, it has been removed..... since then the cruise works ok from the wheel but the headunit (all of it i think) will not respond... any ideas ?

Re: 2.0 SE 8V or 16V - Deal Breaker ?
That is exactly right, i agree with you, the 16v one would be my choice but trying to find the right one close to my home (or at least within 100 miles) is really difficult.

2.0 SE 8V or 16V - Deal Breaker ?
As you will see from other posts i am looking at getting one of the above either in estate form or saloon, but is there a big difference in driving. sound, and feel etc between both engines, some cars i see are the more update 16v engines with the colour coded bumpers etc while others are the black ...

Re: B5.5 - 2001 - 2.0 SE - Opinions
Speed is not really that much of an issue with any car, its just an alternative to my main mode of transport...... i travel to work day to day on a Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade... speed becomes very subjective when no sooner are you looking at a place you want to go... then your there, not really remem...

B5.5 - 2001 - 2.0 SE - Opinions
Looking at getting one of the above cars. I think it will be a saloon although i have nothing against an estate (sorry wagon). I am going for petrol because of the mileage i will be doing each year (about 2,000 per annum), paying the extra for diesel is just plain made for me. But what are your opin...
